Achu Vellam which is commonly known as cube jaggery is of individual cube pieces pressed in a specially designed achu. Vellam is made from sugarcane by crushing and boiling the sugarcane juice at very high temperature and the sedimented sugar is pressed to obtainal cubical shaped jaggery.
